Yoga includes the use of more natural, and yet complex, supportive muscular contractions as compared to a focus on individual muscles. The breathing and meditative practices of Yoga are imbedded in the physical exercises offering unsurpassed synergy.

During asana tight muscles are relaxed allowing the body to self-adjust opposing muscle groups throughout the body.

Unique positions not only help break up ineffective contraction patterns, but facilitate improvements to motor self-image.

Remember that strength is at least as important as flexibility; Extreme flexibility creates its’ own imbalances.

Use care in choice of asana; all poses that are advertised are not healthy for all practitioners. Yoga is not a contest, and it is not a show; only when that is taken to heart will important healthful changes take place.
